Dominus

his Danish band's biggest claim to fame is that it's the band that vocalist/guitarist Michael Poulsen led prior to forming Volbeat. With fellow members Jesper Olsen (bass), Jess Larsen (drums) and Mads Hansen (guitars), Dominus would debut with a self-titled EP in 1993. The debut full-length, View to the Dim (1995) would follow.

The first line-up change would be with The First 9 (1996) seeing Jens Peter Storm on guitars, and Lars Hald on drums.

The next set, Vol.Beat (1997), the namesake of their future band, saw Anders Kjølholm take bass. Godfallos (2000), the fifth effort, saw more changes in the form of Franz Hellboss (bass) and Brin Andersen (drums). Soon afte rthis release, however, the band fell apart with some members going on to form the band Volbeat, which is named after the Vol.Beat album.
