The StoneBIOGRAPHYThe Stone (2011-present): a Black Metal band from Belgrade, Serbia. T he Stone was founded in 1996, originally under the name Stone to Flesh. Under this name they released a compilation tape of their two previous demos called Unveiled Evil. The compilation tape was sold out in about 300 copies. Their debut album was recorded in 1999 and released in 2000 before they changed their name in 2001 to the present The Stone with Kozeljnik (Real Name: Marko Jerković; guitars/bass) and Nefas (Real Name: Saša Jovanović; vocals) from the previous act, and adding drummer Ilija (Real Name: Ilija Vasiljević) to the fold. Debuting with Slavic blood in 2002, The Stone would follow it up with the On the trail of the lame wolf EP in 2003, adding Aksinomantijan on drums (tracks 1, 2) and Blizzard (Real Name: Dušan Rančić) on keyboards: tracks 1, 2) and guitars (tracks 3-9). In 2004, the next full-length came in the form of Law of Veles, along with a new EP in the form of Do you hear, the dead are laughing at us... that same year. The Fog (2006) came next with new members Demonetras (Real Name: Marko Obradović; guitars (lead)/bass: tracks 2, 4/songwriting (guitars: track 6)) and Urok (Real Name: Milan Rakić; keyboards/songwriting (keyboards)). Some wounds bleed forever (2007) would be next, followed by Umro (Real Name: Luka Govednik) in 2009, now with L.G. on drums. Glad (Real Name: Marko Glamošlija) took vocals for the EP, Old Wounds Bleed Misanthropy (2010), and the full-length Golet (2011). The bass position was taken up by Usud (Real Name: Nikola Janković) for Nekroza (2014), but on the next album, Teatar apsurda (2017), the bass changed hands again in favor of Vrag (Real Name: Miloš Živić. After the Kruna praha EP, Kosturnice (2021) saw the next line change featuring Honza Kapák on drums and synthesizers.
