t was with For the Universe in 1985 and Darkness at Time's Edge in 1986 that Martyr made their debut under the membership of Antoine van der Linden (bass), Rick Bouwman (guitars), Marcel Heesakkers (guitars), Elias Papadopoulos (drums) and Gerard Vergouw (vocals).

Circle of 8 (2011) saw Wilfried Broekman take drums, and Robert van Haren take vocals. the next change would be on You Are Next (2016) with Jeffrey Bryan Rijnsburger taking bass.

A major membership change would be on Planet Metalhead (2022) where Vinnie Wassink (bass/vocals (backing)), Rick Valcon (drums/vocals (backing)) and Geoffrey Maas (guitars) joined the team. More changed were in the offerig for Dark Believer (2025) with Justin Schut (guitars) and Ed van Wijngaarden (drums).
