Burning Witches

his Swiss all-female quintet came into being in 2015, quickly making a name for themselves by quickly securing a record deal with Nuclear Blast based on the strength of their debut demo.

Under the line-up of Jeanine Grob (bass), Lala Frischknecht (drums), Romana Kalkuhl (guitars), Seraina Telli (vocals) and Alea Wyss (guitars), Burning Witches would launch their self-titled in 2017.

Hexenhammer, the sophomore effort, arrived in 2018 with a line-up change of Sonia Núria Carolina Nusselder on bass. The next change would be with Laura Guldemond taking vocals for Dance with the Devil (2020). 2021 would see the release of The Witch of the North, while 2023 saw The Dark Tower, now with Larissa Ernst on second guitars. That guitar slot would be swapped again for Courtney Cox on Inquisition (2025).
