enver quartet Blood Incantation have risen to among the top rungs of the US death metal ladder, with their progressive, not-quite-tech-death approach to the genre, highlighted by inventive songwriting and their space-related lyrical themes.

Blood Incantation formed in 2011 as a new project of musicians from the Colorado scene who gravitated around bands such as Velnias, Abysmal Dimensions and Leech and received critical acclaim after the release of their first record Starspawn, under the membership of Isaac Faulk (drums), Paul Riedl (guitars/vocals/keyboards), Morris Kolontyrsky (guitars) and Jeff Barrett (bass (fretless)), which was mostly classic death metal with themes about space and death. By the release of Hidden History of the Human Race (2019) and the Timewave Zero EP (2022) the band started to evolve their sound incorporating elements of ambient and psychedelic rock; Timewave Zero featured ambient only material.
