T

hough they never were as famous as their fellow Finnish bands that succeeded them, Xysma is highly regarded as a cult metal band, and one that was highly influential on the Finnish rock/metal scene. The band is remarkable for constantly changing styles throughout its career, moving from grindcore to death metal to a quirky death'n'roll style, to retro/semi-stoner rock to, finally, pop rock respectively featuring a very stable line-up.

For the debuts of Above the Mind of Morbidity EP (1990), Fata Morgana EP (1990) and Yeah (1991) the line-up would be Jani Muurinen (vocals), Olivier Lawny (guitars), Vesa Iitti (bass) and Teppo Pulli (drums).

First & Magical (1993), Deluxe (1994), Lotto (1996), Singles (EP; 1997), Girl on the Beach (1998) saw the first line-up change, featuring Stranius (R.I.P. 2006; Real Name: Toni Christian Stranius; guitars) and Dr. Heavenly (Real Name: Kalle Taivainen; bass).
