Ghost BathBIOGRAPHY Ghost Bath (2012-present): a Black Metal band from Minot, North Dakota, USA. T he history of Ghost Bath lies more in what they were not as opposed to what they are. Somewhere between the band's first and second releases, their status rose from nobodies to serious post-black metal contenders regardless of what some critics would claim. Their music aside, the real claim to fame was was attributed to the band claiming to be from hongqing, China, only later to be outed as hailing from North Dakota. Publishing under Chinese pseudonyms using Chinese lettering the band would publish the Ghost Bath EP in 2013 under the (real) membership of Dennis Mikula (vocals/guitars), Donovan (guitars), Jamie Schlittenhart (bass) and Taylor Hruby (drums), with the sophomore effort, Funeral (2014) following. Moonlover (2015) would feature only Mikula before an entire new membership joined him in the form of Tim Church (guitars), John Olivier (guitars), Josh Jaye (bass) and Jason Hirt (drums) emerged for Starmourner (2017), Self Loather (2021) and Rose Thorn Necklace (2025).
