HirilornBIOGRAPHYHirilorn (1994-1999): a Black Metal band from Poitiers, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. T he name "Hirilorn" comes from a large beech tree used as a prison for the princess Luthien in J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion. It would be with Legends of Evil and Eternal Death in 1998 that the band Hirilorn would release their debut studio full-length under the membership of Hasjarl (Real Name: Christian Bouché; guitars (rhythm)/songwriting), Shaxul (Real Name: Frédéric Sescheboeuf; vocals (lead)/bass/lyrics), Yohann (Real Name: Yohann Pasquier; drums/vocals (backing: track 3) and Sinn (Real Name: Olivier; guitars (lead, acoustic)/songwriting/vocals (lead, backing: track 3). The debut would be followed by the 1999 release of the Depopulate (Prelude to Apocalypse) EP. Hasjarl and Shaxul teamed up to form Deathspell Omega after the split of Hirilorn in 1999. ** This article is also available on our official app.
