Thee Plague of Gentlemen

rguably one of Belgium's heaviest bands ever, Thee Plague of Gentlemen dealt in ultra-slow, sludgy doom metal during their somewhat chaotic seven-year existence between 1999-2006. They seemed to be on the upswing with the release of what turned out to be their only full-length album, Primula Pestis (2005) featuring Eddy De Logi (drums), Steven Van Cauwenbergh (bass/vocals (backing)), Steve MacMillan (Real Name: Steven Wackenier; guitars/vocals) and Frédéric Caure (guitars) after releasing two EPs, until a year later founder Steve MacMillan got into legal troubles eventually being sentenced for indecent exposure to a child and the band folded. Some members later forming a somewhat similar band called Serpentcult.
