indrot turned some heads in their relatively short career in the mid-nineties with their unique take on bleak, doom metal/industrial metal hybrid sound. Several years after that band's breakup, two members emerged in Eyes Of Fire, a band retaining a bit of the Mindrot past but in general forging a new path. Ashes To Embers, their 2004 debut album following the Disintegrate intro EP a year earlier, featured the line-up of Dan Kaufmann (ex-Mindrot; guitars/vocals), Cary Petersen (guitars), Matt Fisher (ex-Mindrot; bass/vocals), Ben Smith (keyboards) and John Haddad (drums). Prisons (2006), their third effort, saw the first line-up change with Bobby Thomas (ex-Morgion; guitars), Pete Traux (keyboards) and Nick Bernadi (drums).
