Fleshcrawl (1991-present): a Death Metal band from Illertissen, Bavaria, Germany.

riginally starting in 1989 as Morgöth, they changed their moniker to Suffocation in 1990 but were forced to change it again in 1991 because of the US band of the same name. As Fleshcrawl they would debut with Lost in a Grave (EP; 1991) under the membership of Bastian Herzog (drums/vocals), Markus Amann (bass), Stefan Hanus (guitars), Alfred Handke (guitars) and Alex Pretzer (vocals). Descend into the Absurd (1992), their first full-length, followed with Gero Schmitt (guitars/vocals (additional: tracks 3, 7). Impurity (1994) and Bloodsoul (1996) followed before Sven Gross (R.I.P. 2021; vocals) arrived in time for Bloodred Massacre (1997) featuring Mike Hanus (guitars/vocals).

As Blood Rains from the Sky... We Walk the Path of Endless Fire and Soulskinner (2002) then followed with the second featuring Tobias Schick taking bass.

The lead guitar position became vacant and would be filled by Oliver Grbavac (guitars (lead)) for Made of Flesh. The bass would be next to be replaced again by Nico Scheffler

for Structures of Death (2007), while Into the Catacombs of Flesh (2019) saw the bass replaced, yet again, for Manu Markowski. Slobodan Stupar was now on guitars and songwriting (tracks 4, 6, 12).
