Disciples of PowerBIOGRAPHYDisciples of Power (1987-2003, 2012-present): a Death Metal band from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. T his is a Canadian thrash metal/death metal band that formed as Warthorn in 1986, and was originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta. In 1987 they changed their name to Disciples of Power, relocated to Edmonton, and remained active until November 2003. Debuting under the line up Hart Bachmier (vocals (lead)/guitars), Maurice Williams (guitars), Chris Chapman (bass) and Dean Relf (drums), Disciples of Power would release Power Trap (1989). The follow-up, Ominous Prophecy (1992), saw the band reduced to a three-piece under the line-up of Bachmier and Relf now with Wes Sontag on guitars. The third effort, Invincible Enemy (1993), saw Colin Post taking bass from Bachmier who had assumed the role, along with his others, on the previous effort, leaving him free to concentrate on guitars, vocals (lead) and effects. Mechanikill (1996) followed with Dean Nolan (bass), with finally In Dust We Trust (2002) seeing Andy Smith now on bass before the band split within the next year. In 2012 the band has reformed but has yet to record.
