Red HarvestBIOGRAPHYRed Harvest (1989-2010, 2015-present): a Thrash Metal band from Oslo, Norway. M usically, Red Harvest is unpredictable. Their first album, Nomindsland (1992), with Jimmy Bergsten (vocals/guitars), Jan F. Nygård (guitars), Thomas Brandt (bass) and Cato Bekkevold (drums), presented an avant-garde thrash metal sound which makes sense as their founding was as a thrash metal tribute band playing Slayer covers. The follow-up albums offered a more tribal influence. With the induction of samples/synthesizers member LRZ, the band became more electronic-oriented with black metal/death metal influences, dubbed to many as extreme industrial metal. Red Harvest has been known to repeatedly update its logo, evolve it, and visually represent the constant evolution in its music and also its fondness of liking to surprise people. Each album offers a different sound. During their tenure they would release the follow-ups, There's Beauty in the Purity of Sadness (1994), the The Maztürnation EP (1995), HyBreed (1996) now with Ketil Eggum on guitars and the aforementioned LRZ (Real Name: Lars Sørensen; keyboards/samples). The NewRage World Music EP (1998) and Cold Dark Matter (2000) with E_Wroldsen (Real Name: Erik Wroldsen; drums), the New World Rage Music (2001) EP, Sick Transit Gloria Mundi (2002), Internal Punishment Programs (2004) and A Greater Darkness (2007).
