Animals As LeadersBIOGRAPHY Animals As Leaders (2007-present): a Industrial Metal band from USA. T his is the solo project of guitarist Tosin Abasi, founded around 2007 after the demise of his previous outfit, the DC metalcore band Reflux. Unlike his past effort, this is mind-bending instrumental, jazz influenced, intricate progressive rock/metal, often defying description. Along with assistance by Javier Reyes (guitars), Matt Garstka (drums) and (for the first two albums) Misha Mansoor (keyboards/programming) and Navene Koperweis (drums), Animals As Leaders would release Animals As Leaders (2009), Weightless (2011), The Joy Of Motion (2014), The Madness Of Many (2016), the live set Live 2017 (2018), and Parrhesia (2022).
