ot to be confused with Obsession (Heavy Metal/Hard Rock from Minneapolis, Minnesota), this Obsession would debut with Marshall Law EP (1983) under the membership Jay Mezias (drums), Michael Vescera (vocals), Bruce Vitale (guitars), Art Maco (guitars) and Matt Karagus (bass). Scarred for Life (1986) followed along with Methods of Madness (1987) before the band split.

Carnival of Lies (2006) would arrive after the reformation bringing with it all of the original band with the exception of Scott Boland taking backing guitars/vocals. William Zampa took drums for Order of Chaos (2012).
