nder the leadership of Daniel Sjölund (drums), Stefan Högberg (guitars), Mattias Lilja (vocals), Daniel Lindgren (bass) and Mikael Lindgren (guitars), Divine Souls would release Embodiment (2001) and The Bitter Selfcaged Man (2002). The band split up in August 2004 after Mikael Lindgren's departure. The reason he gave was that being the sole songwriter/lyricist working in the band took too much of his time making it feel more like work than fun.
