In Ruins

ebuting as Black Thorns in 1994 before switching names prior to their debut album, In Ruins belong in the post-doomdeath, dark metal arena, once occupied by bands such as Sentenced or Amorphis. That debut album, Four Seasons of Grey (1998), would be under the leadership of Sean McCullough (drums), Matt (keyboards), J. Michael (guitars/vocals/keyboards/songwriting/lyrics) and Jason Denunzio (bass). The follow-up album, The Curse of Decay (2006) would follow, with no third album in sight. Do not confuse this band with the one of the same name from Nashville, Tennessee.
