Planet X (1999-present): a Progressive Metal band from California, USA.

ot to be confused with the band Planet X from Sacramento, California, this Planet X would release Universe (2000) under the line-up of Virgil Donati (drums), Tony MacAlpine (guitars) and Derek Sherinian (keyboards). Moonbabies (2002) and Quantum (2007) followed. For a time the band featured Rufus Philpot on bass. The band's status is unknown since.
