Loudblast

A

lthough they formed in 1985, Loudblast would not debut until 1989 with the full-length Sensorial Treatment (1989) under the leadership of Stéphane Buriez (vocals/guitars), Joris Terrier (drums), François Jamin (bass/vocals (backing)) and Nicolas Leclercq (guitars/vocals (backing)) as a death metal/thrash metal mix. Disincarnate (1991) would follow featuring Thierry Pinck taking drums.

For Sublime Dementia (1993), the Cross the Threshold EP (1994), Fragments (1998) Hervé Coquerel was now on drums before the band split in 1999.

The reformation in 2000, less than a year since their split, didn't last, but the 2002 reformation saw a new line-up in place by the time Planet Pandemonium was released in 2004 under the membership of Stéphane Buriez (vocals/guitars), Alex Colin-Tocquaine (guitars), Alex Lenormand (bass) and Hervé Coquerel (drums). The membership changed slightly again for Frozen Moments Between Life and Death (2011) where Drakhian was now on guitars along side Buriez. The same line-up would be present for Burial Ground (2014). More changes in the form of Jérôme Point-Canovas (guitars: track 1) and Frédéric Leclercq (bass: track 1) would be in place for Hellfest 2010 (2020), but Manifesto (2020) saw the band back to its core membership.
