Acid KingBIOGRAPHYAcid King (1993-present): a Doom Metal band from San Francisco, California, USA. T aking their name from Ricky Kasso, the "Acid King", a teen drug dealer who murdered a friend over angel dust while under the possible influence of mescaline, Acid King's first two albums represent different takes on the stoner metal/doom metal sound, with the debut effort Zoroaster (1995) featuring Lori Steinberg (guitars/vocals), Peter Lucas (bass/vocals (backing)) and Joey Osbourne (drums) wore a similarity to a slower version of early Kyuss, while the sophomore effort, Busse Woods (1999) with Brian Hill taking bass, reminiscent of Electric Wizard. The bass position was one of dispute for once again a new member took it by the name of Guy Pinhas for the release of III (2005). Mark Lamb then took the bass position for Middle of Nowhere, Center of Everywhere (2015), but for Beyond Vision (2023) the entire line-up changed with the band expanding as well to feature Lori Joseph taking on Bryce Shelton (bass/synthesizer), Jason Willer (drums) and Jason Landrian (guitars/keyboards).
