Max HavocBIOGRAPHYMax Havoc (1981-1989): a Hard Rock band from Los Angeles, California, USA. T he glammy hard rock act Max Havoc rightfully belongs in the forget pile of 80's bands that sprung out of nowhere during that decade and failed to succeed after an album or two. The list of such acts is endless, except for Max Havoc who are saved from the trash heap of history for the simple reason that their original drummer was none other than Black Sabbath's Bill Ward. The band was founded by vocalist Pat McKeon and Ward, who had recently departed Black Sabbath shortly before. That early line-up didn't work out, Ward returned to Black Sabbath, leaving McKeon to draft a new lineup in the form of himself with Jim Hudgins (bass), Khurt Maier (drums) and Scott Lane (guitars) to release their one-and-only recording, a self-titled in 1983. Also of note were guest appearances by guitarist Carlos Cavaso (Quiet Riot) and W.A.S.P.'s drummer Tony Richards. The act finally pulled the plug in 1989.
