amed for one of the main accusers of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, Abigail Williams has been a band of change, in terms of members (a near-constant lineup in flux surrounding Ken Sorceron (Real Name: Ken Bergeron) vocals/guitars), homes (originally from Phoenix, but they've also resided in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington State) and even musical styles, meandering from early metalcore leanings to symphonic black metal on their early albums to atmospheric black metal as of late.

Abigail Williams would arrive on the scene with the Legend EP in 2006 under the membership of Ken Sorceron (vocals/guitars/keyboards: tracks 4, 5/songwriting: tracks 1-5), Bjorn "Bjornthor" Dannov (guitars/songwriting: track 2), Brad Riffs (guitars/songwriting: track 4), Zach Gibson (drums), Kyle Dickinson (bass) and Ashley "Ellyllon" Jurgemeyer (Real Name: Ashley Hill; keyboards/piano/orchestrations/songwriting: tracks 1-4) to be followed by In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns (2008) with Sorceron and Ellyllon with all new members Plaguehammer (Real Name: Thomas Haywood Jr.; bass: track 8), Mike Wilson (guitars (solos: tracks 3, 8, 9/guitars (additional; track 5)) and Samus Paulicelli (drums: tracks 3, 8, 9).
