he duo known as Hanzel Und Gretyl who are really Robert Lupie (guitars/vocals/programming) and Betty Kallas (ex-Cycle Sluts from Hell; vocals/guitars/programming) formed in 1993, opting for a techno/industrial style focusing on futuristic/sci-fi themes. The pair would debut with Ausgeflippt (1995), Shine 2001 EP (1995), Transmissions from Uranus (1997) and Take Me to Your Leader EP (1997).

At this point their record label, 'Energy Records', went belly up and due to legal troubles between the label and band, Hanzel Und Gretyl remained dormant for several years until 'Metropolis Records' signed them in 2003. Continuing with their industrial style infused with humor the band resumed with, Über alles (2003), Scheissmessiah (2004), Oktötenfest 2006 EP (2006), 2012: Zwanzig Zwölf (2008), Born to Be Heiled (2012), Hanzel und Gretyl für immercompilation (2013), Black Forest Metal (2014), Satanik Germanik (2018) and
