OrphanageBIOGRAPHYOrphanage (1993-2005): a Gothic Metal band from Utrecht, Netherlands. I t would be under the large membership of Martine van Loon (vocals (female)), George Oosthoek (vocals (harsh, grunts, screams)), Lex Vogelaar (guitars/vocals), Eric Hoogendoorn (bass), Guus Eikens (keyboards/vocals) and Jules Vleugels (R.I.P. 2011; drums) when Orphanage launched their debut full-length in the form of Oblivion (1995). The follow-ups, By Time Alone (1996) and Inside (2000), and the EP The Sign (2003) saw a line-up change with Rosan van der Aa (vocals (female, choirs)) and Erwin Polderman (drums/vocals (choirs)). For Driven (2004) was an album with a membership in flux by having each member featured on various tracks, including new members Remko van der Spek (bass/guitars/lyrics), Sureel (drums/lyrics/songwriting: track 7) and Lasse Dellbrügge (keyboards/songwriting). Before the band split in 2005 the membership suffered one more change with Theo Holheimer (guitars) and Marcel Verdurmen (guitars).
