Zoser Mez

he supergroup Zoser Mez formed as a studio side project of then Mercyful Fate and King Diamond guitarists Hank Shermann and Michael Denner respectively. Landing a recording deal with 'Easy Sound Recordings', and in the same studio where Mercyful Fate recorded their hits Melissa and Don't Break the Oath, they completed their one-and-only album, Vizier of Wasteland (1991) that spring under the membership of Hank Shermann (guitars), Michael Denner (guitars) and Kenny Lübcke (vocals) with Morten Nielsen (drums) joining later.

The group re-entered the studio to re-record all rhythm guitars, additional solos, bass and all the vocals tracks to release a new instrumental song called Land of Goshen; a further session in February of 1992 resulted in the recording of two new songs in the form of Destiny and Stay a While but while Zoser Mez were recording demos for the second album, King Diamond heard some of these demos and the style was very much Mercyful Fate and so he, Shermann and Denner agreed to reunite, taking with them Nielsen with Bjarne Holm becoming Mercyful Fate's drummer in 1996. And so ends the tenure of Zoser Mez for good after releasing a single demo, a single album and two concerts in 1991.
