40 GritBIOGRAPHY40 Grit (1996-2004): a Nu-Metal band from San Francisco, California, USA. H ailing from San Francisco, 40 Grit was one of several bands playing a late-nineties heavy metal. An example is Heads (2000), their debut, has hints of Korn down-tuning nu-metal, but with a heavier vibe like Machine Head. Nonetheless that would evolve into their genre. Under the membership of James Santiago (vocals/guitar), Chris Anderson (guitar), Mike Bennett (drums) and Kevin Young (bass), the debut would arrive. The follow-up, Nothing To Remember (2003), would see Andy Green on drums. Ryan Healy would take bass but the band broke up soon after (February) 2004.
