Nocturnal DepressionBIOGRAPHYNocturnal Depression (2004-present): a Black Metal band from Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. P reforming a type of atmospheric and depressive black metal it would be in 2006 when Nocturnal Depression debuted with Nostalgia - Fragments of a Broken Past (2006) with Herr Suizid (all instruments) and Lord Lokhraed (Real Name: Cédric Giordani; vocals). The next year, Soundtrack for a Suicide - Opus II (2007), followed. For the third opus, Reflections of a Sad Soul (2008), however, the line-up expanded to include Obeyron (Real Name: Didier Moro; guitars (lead)), Modii (Real Name: David Berbel; bass) and Morkhod (drums). After a set of split albums, The Cult of Negation (2010) with Avskrius taking lead guitars on track 5 followed. Suicidal Thoughts (2011) was next and was where the band was reduced back to its original two-some. After Near to the Stars (2014), Krahne and Avskrius returned for Spleen Black Metal (2015). For Deathcade (2017) the band returned to the two-piece again, and again for Tides of Despair (2019). For the When My Time Has Come EP (2022) Alessandro Coletta joined for lead guitars and vocals. ** This article is also available on our official app.
