BansheeBIOGRAPHYBanshee (1985-present): a Power Metal band from Kansas City, Missouri, USA. N ot to be confused with Banshee from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Banshee came to life with the debut of the Cry in the Night EP in 1986 under the membership of Kent Burnham (drums), Terry Dunn (guitars), Tommy Lee Flood (vocals) and Chuck Hopkins (bass). The follow-up, Race Against Time (1989) featured Bill Westfall (R.I.P. 2020; bass/keyboards/vocals), but for 1993's Take 'Em by Storm the bass position had shifted again to feature Tyson Leslie. Mindslave (2012) saw half the band replaced for George Call (vocals) and Marty Schiermann (drums). Once again half the band were shown the door for The Madness (2019) with replacement members Scot Sutherland on bass and Paul Thompson on drums. This band was one of those featured on the famous Metal Massacre set of compilations released during the 1980s by 'Metal Blade Records', in this case Metal Massacre IX.
