RuthlessBIOGRAPHYRuthless (1982-1988, 2008-present): a Power Metal band from Los Angeles, California, USA. F orming in 1982, Ruthless would debut with the Metal Without Mercy EP in 1985 under the membership of Jack Black (R.I.P. 2017; bass), Ken McGee (guitars), Sami DeJohn (vocals), Todd Billings (drums) and Rollen Legman (guitars) which would be followed-up with their debut full-length of Discipline of Steel (1986) featuring Bryant Scott (drums) and Steven T.Z.Z. (guitars (lead)/guitars (rhythm)/guitars (acoustic)/keyboards). While working on a second full-length, the band split in 1989 leaving that work unreleased. It would be several years after that reformation in 2008 that the band would return with a completely new album in the form of They Rise (2015) under the membership of McGee and DeJohn with brother Marc McGee (bass), Jason Van Slyke (drums) and Dave Watson (guitars). After a split with Hexx titled Tyrants of Steel Vol.1 in 2016, Ruthless returned with Evil Within (2019) with McGee and DeJohn re-setting the line-up to include Sandy K. Vasquez (bass), Joe Aghassi (drums) and Chris Westfall (guitars), while The Fallen (2024) saw Bob Guitrau on drums and Glen Paul as the only guitar player.
