nder the membership of Mike Soliz (vocals), Tony Smith (guitars), Robert Willingham (bass) and Phil Achee (drums), Militia opened shop with the Regiments of Death demo in 1985 which would be followed-up with The Sybling (1986) less than a year later. Lack of interest from the world at large caused the band to split soon after but reform in January of 2008.

After the reformation it would be the returning membership of Willingham, Smith and Soliz along side new member Jesse Villegas (R.I.P. 2016; guitars) who would publish the act's full-length debut effort, Strength and Honor (2012). But after the death of Villegas in 2016, Art Villareal would assume guitars until 2024 to in-turn be replaced by Phillip Patterson who previously briefly held the role in 1986. Mike Botello would assume drums from 2013-2016 to be replaced by Chip Alexander. By 2024 Scott Womack had taken bass. Briefly back in 1984, Lou Kanellakis took vocals.

In 2023 Militia would release the Regiments of Death / No Submission, their third compilation that followed the previous Released (2008) and The Second Coming (2011).
