TyrantBIOGRAPHYTyrant (1981-1989, 2020-present): a Speed Metal band from Ulm, Germany. A fter the debut single, I Wanna Make Love in 1983, Tyrant would return with Mean Machine in 1984 under the membership of Kerrmit (Real Name: Jürgen Kerner; vocals), Carl Tomaschko (Full Name: Karl-Heinz Tomaschko; guitars), Holger Thiele (guitars), André Papack (bass) and Micky Budde (drums), followed by Fight for Your Life (1985), Running Hot (1986) and another split, The Best of German Heavy Metal (1987), with Gravestone and High Tension; the band shifting their style between standard heavy metal and speed metal over the recordings. Ruling the World (1988) saw a line-up change Phil Zanella added to guitars, with Chris Peterson taking bass and Dieter Behle now on drums. The band would split a year later leaving the Live and Crazy live set, and the Metal Attack Vol. 2 split with Stormwitch, Gravestone, High Tension, S.D.I. and Noisehunter both released posthumously in 1990. The band would reform in Read All... ⏬ 2020 under the membership of Ralf Hollmer (guitars), Kerrmit (vocals), Chris Peterson (bass), Marc Oppold (drums) and Ingo Autenrieth (guitars); three of whom were returning members from previous line-ups, some of which were never on a Tyrant recording previous.
