tarting in 2001 under the sole membership of Kardinal (bass), Argonath (drums) and Satrapold (guitars/vocals), Grimnir launched themselves with Austrian Black Metal Storm EP in 2004. Following a split effort with Mordgrund in 2005, the act returned with Kreuzzug in den Tod (2006). In 2008, another split effort followed with Trist, Regnum and Hypothermia before releasing the Starhemberg compilation in 2016 after an 8 year break.
