DaathBIOGRAPHYDaath (2000-2003, 2003-2013, 2022-present): a Death Metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. A merican act Dååth was started by Eyal Levi (guitars/keyboards) and Mike Kameron (vocals/keyboards), who had been playing in bands since they were in middle school. The two friends attended Berklee College of Music in Boston but eventually left school to concentrate full-time on making money. The band was originally known as Dirt Nap as far back as 2000 where they released only a single demo before the name change in late 2003. Their music incorporates styles such as death metal, industrial metal, and some traces of gypsy jazz. Dååth's first album, Futility, was self-released in 2004 under the membership of Levi and Kameron, along with Emil Werstler (guitars). After the Forged in Steel (2007) split with Machine Head, Sanctity and Shadows Fall, the band would release their sophomore effort, The Hinderers, and the EP, Dead on the Dance Floor (2007 both) under a much expanded line-up featuring Sean Farber (vocals), Michael Kameron (keyboards/songwriting), Emil Werstler (guitars), Eyal Levi (guitars/songwriting), Jeremy Creamer (bass) and Kevin Talley (drums (track 6)). Read All... ⏬ Sean Zatorsky assumed vocals for The Concealers (2009), while Sean Zatorsky took them for the self-titled follow-up in 2010. During the break between the final tour for The Concealers album and the writing sessions for the self-titled, Levi and Werstler released Avalanche of Worms, an instrumental CD on April 20, 2010, under the artist name Levi/Werstler. Sean Reinert from Cynic played the drums. In 2011 Werstler filled the vacant bass and Zatorsky the vacant keyboard and vocal duties for Chimaira. In 2012 Werstler was officially made the lead guitarist for Chimaira along with Creamer filling the bass duties in Chimaira left vacant by Werstler's promotion. But this would not last and the band split in 2013. The reformation of 2022 the band reformed and Kerim Lechner would assume the drum position that August. Also in August, guitarist Emil Werstler confirmed he also was no longer a member of the band. In February 2023, Creamer also left. New members Jesse Zuretti (samples/orchestration/guitars), Rafael Trujillo (lead guitar) and David Marvuglio (bass) would take their places for The Deceivers (2024). Read Less... ⏫
