Britny FoxBIOGRAPHYBritny Fox (1985-1992, 2000-2003, 2006-2008, 2015-2016): a Glam Metal band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. F orming in 1985, Philadelphia, USA band Britny Fox was originally fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. The band also featured Billy Childs (bass), Michael Kelly Smith (ex-Cinderella; guitars (lead)) and Tony Destra (ex-Cinderella; drums). The band's name was inspired by Davidson, who named it in honor of a Welsh ancestor. Thanks to connections to Cinderella, based on two members, the band was able to secure a major recording contract. However, Tony Destra was killed in a car accident in 1987, but facing a tour, they hired drummer Adam West (a.k.a. Adam Ferraioli) temporarily until finding drummer, John DiTeodoro (Real Name: Johnny Dee); former drummer for Waysted. In 1986, In America, their demo, emerged debuting Destra. In 1987 Rock Is Gonna Fight, another demo, this time featuring West emerged. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1988, was one of the most successful premieres of the 1988-89 season, with 130+ shows, some of which supporting for Poison, Ratt and Warrant. After the release of the band's second album, Boys in Heat (1989), Davidson departed, and formed the band Blackeyed Susan; subsiquently replaced by Las Vegas native Tommy Paris (a.k.a. Don Jillson; ex-Jillson). Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde and Poison drummer Rikki Rockett were guests on the third album, Bite Down Hard (1991). However, the popularity of glam metal was on a decline around the time of the album's release and replaced by the grunge style, resulting in the band disbanding. Read All... ⏬ Britny Fox reunited in 2000 with the same line-up to release Springhead Motorshark (2003). The band toured the US and Europe in 2007 and 2008. Guitarist Tommy Krash and former White Lion drummer Greg D'Angelo was supposed to join at that time, but he broke his foot during rehearsal and was replaced by Henry Now. As of late 2007, Britny Fox reformed under original bassist Billy Childs. The other former members of this line-up were lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jamie Fletcher, lead guitarist Greg Polcari, and drummer Henry Now. Childs and the new lineup had a minor but billed role in the horror film Incest Death Squad (2009). In 2010, Davidson unsuccessfully attempted to reunite the surviving members of the original line-up. Several new attempts to reform have followed since. Read Less... ⏫
