WaystedBIOGRAPHYWaysted (1982-1987, 2003-2020): a Heavy Metal band from UK. B ritish band Waysted is a sort of 'super-group' of sorts and was founded by former U.F.O. bassist and founder of the act Fastway Pete Way (Full Name: Peter Frederick Way (7 August 1950 - 14 August 2020)) who also notably played with Michael Schenker Group and Ozzy Osbourne. The act was founded along with Scottish rocker Fin Muir (Ian Muir; vocals) in 1982. Recruiting Frank Noon (ex-Def Leppard; drums), Ronnie Kayfield (guitar) and Paul Raymond (keyboards; guitar), Waysted signed to 'Chrysalis Records' to release Vices (1983). The band went through a ridiculous number of line up changes over the years, with members leaving, rejoining and leaving again, as well as periods of complete dormancy while Way pursued other projects. Including the aforementioned members, the list features: Read All... ⏬ The band split up in 1987, but reformed in 2003 after releasing Vices (1983), The Good the Bad the Waysted (1985), Save Your Prayers (1986), All or Nothing (1995), Rock the Night Away (1996), Broken Dreams (1998), the Wilderness of Mirrors (2000) which included the original studio recordings from the 'Save Your Prayers' sessions remixed by Paul Chapman with a bonus track. These were follow-up by Back from the Dead (2004) and The Harsh Reality (2007). In 2008, Waysted toured the UK in support of its then new album The Harsh Reality. However, it was the last release and the outfit has not released any new material since that time as Way died on 14 August 2020 from injuries sustained in an accident. Read Less... ⏫
