tarted by Shagrath (Real Name: Stian Tomt Thoresen; vocals) and King Ov Hell (Real Name: Tom Cato Visnes; bass/vocals (backing)) in October 2009 following the three year demise of King Ov Hell's and Gaahl's post-Gorgoroth band God Seed in July 2009.

The debut, and only album, The Underworld Regime (2010), was originally supposed to be a Gorgoroth release but after Gaahl and King Ov Hell lost the rights to the Gorgoroth name in a failed attempt to oust founding member Infernus, they intended to release the album under the God Seed moniker before Gaahl decided to leave the metal scene almost altogether before returning in 2012 to re-start God Seed. In the interim, the album was finally recorded by Ov Hell, with the lyrics re-written and performed by Shagrath. Ov Hell never performed live claiming busy schedules. In 2012 the operation was shut down after God Seed's reunion; a reunion that also would only last three years.
