Hooded Menace

innish death metal, doom metal hybrid band Hooded Menace was formed in Joensuu, Finland in 2007 by guitarist Lasse Pyykkö, previously from death metal band Phlegethon.

The band started their career by recording the two-track demo The Eyeless Horde in 2007, which was released on 7" vinyl the following year under the membership of Leper of Berzano (Real Name: Lasse Pyykkö; vocals/guitars), Crimson Executioner (bass) and The Hunchback (drums). The band released their debut album, Fulfill the Curse (2008) soon after and followed it up with the highly acclaimed sophomore full-length effort, Never Cross the Dead (2010); the second album featuring new member Pekka Koskelo taking drums along side Pyykkö reducing the band to a two-piece.

After a set of split albums, Hooded Menace would return with their third album, Effigies of Evil (2012) also as a two-piece act. Two EPs would follow in the form of Necrotic Monuments EP (2012) and Labyrinth of Carrion Breeze EP (2014), the second one featuring two members added to the roster, Markus Makkonen (bass) and Teemu Hannonen (guitars). This line-up was still in place for Darkness Drips Forth (2015).
