fter reforming in 2016 from their former incarnation as Skuggsjá, Nyrst would arrive on the scene with Orsök (2020) under the membership of Davíð Þór (guitars (additional)), Egill (Full Name: Egill Oskar Gíslason; bass), Sveinbjörn (Full Name: Sveinbjörn Hrafn Sveinbjörnsson; drums), Eysteinn (Full Name: Eysteinn Orri Sigurðsson; guitars) and Snæbjörn (Full Name: Snæbjörn Þór Árnason; vocals). They would follow it up with Völd (2023). In 2023 Birkir Kárason (Full Name: Kristmundur Ingi Þórisson; would join on guitars, replacing Kristmundur who was in the role from 2016-2018.
