Bring Me the Horizon (2004-present): a Metalcore band from Sheffield, UK.

bbreviated as BMTH, Bring Me the Horizon formed in 2004 while all the members were still teenagers (between 15 and 17 years of age). In the months following their formation, Bring Me the Horizon created the demo Bedroom Sessions followed by their first EP, This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For (2004). Their debut album proper, Count Your Blessings (2006), polarized listeners, and met with critical disdain. The band began to break away from their controversial sound with Suicide Season (2008), which was a creative, critical and commercial turning point for the band. To promote Suicide Season the band embarked on their first headline tour of the United States, as well as appearing at the 2008 Warped Tour.

During the Taste of Chaos tour in March of 2008, Ward left the band. His relationship with the group had deteriorated as his stage performances were poor. He had become abusive to audience members during the tour, and had contributed little to the writing of the album itself. Another reason for his departure was the worsening tinnitus in his one functioning ear. He was born deaf in one ear and admitted that his participation in the band worsened the remaining ear to the point he was unable to sleep at night. In fairness, Ward had offered to perform the rest of the tour dates, but this was flatly rejected by the rest of the band, who instead asked guitar technician Dean Rowbotham to substitute for the remaining performances.

Within a week of the tour finishing, Sykes took conference with Jona Weinhofen, at the time the guitarist for Bleeding Through. His name popped up on the band's collective radar from his past work with his former outfit I Killed the Prom Queen; he would subsiquently join BMTH. Ward went on to work on the TV show Top Gear, and has occasionally performed on stage with Bring Me The Horizon, playing Pray For Plagues, most notably at Wembley Arena in 2015. In 2016, he would join the band Counting Days.

In November 2009, Bring Me the Horizon released a remixed version of Suicide Season, titled Suicide Season: Cut Up! Musicians and producers featured on the album included: Ben Weinman, Skrillex, L'Amour La Morgue, Utah Saints and Shawn Crahan.

There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let's Keep It a Secret (2010) debuted at 17 on the Billboard 200 in the US and 13 on the UK Album Charts. After an intense touring schedule, Bring Me the Horizon completed their third album's promotion at the end of 2011 and took a badly needed extended rest. On July 30th of that same year, the band announced they had left their label and signed with 'RCA' to release the next album, Sempiternal (2013).

On 22 April 2016, the band performed with an orchestra conducted by Simon Dobson at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The concert marked the first time the band had performed with a live orchestra. The subsequent recording, Live at the Royal Albert Hall would arrive in December 2016. Studio albums, That's the Spirit (2015) and Amo (2019) followed under the line-up of Oliver Sykes (lead vocals/keyboards), Matt Kean (bass), Lee Malia (lead guitar/rhythm guitar), Matt Nicholls (drums/percussion) and Jordan Fish (keyboards/programming/percussion/vocals).

In 2020 Post Human: Survival Horror followed, the first in a planned series of four projects under the "Post Human" name, with the second installment, Post Human: Nex Gen, released as their seventh studio album in May 2024.
