Handful of HateBIOGRAPHYHandful of Hate (1993-2007): a Black Metal band from Italy. S tarting in 1993, Handful of Hate coined the phrase "Carnal black metal" to describe their style, after several line-up changes, they would finally release their first demo, Goetia Summa, in 1995 under the membership of Nicola Bianchi (guitars/vocals), Adriano Di Ricco (bass), J.M. (drums) and Andrea Zannoni (guitars). They played several live shows in northern Italy before finally being picked up in 1996 by 'Dyna' label to release Qliphothic Supremacy, and proceeded to tour in Italy again. In 1999 their second album, Hierarchy arrived with the massively revised line-up of Enrico S. (Real Name: Enrico Santi; bass), Gionata P. (Real Name: Gionata Potenti; drums) and Marco M. (Real Name: Marco Mazzoni; guitars) along side Bianchi. Lyrically, the album dealt with sexual, fetish, and carnal concepts. A 7" entitled Death from Above was released in 2001, the resulting production much cleaner than their previous recordings. 'Code666 Records' then put out a double compilation entitled Better Undead Than Alive that included one track off of Death from Above in 2002. October 2003 saw the release of the band's next full-length album, Vicecrown, an album that got the band even more recognition and also saw a new line-up, this time reduced to Bianchi, Potenti and new member Claudio Alcara (bass/guitars: tracks 3, 8). In November of the same year, they released a 7" EP called Scorn and Conquest on 'Warlord Records' that included many unreleased songs, as well as an Impaled Nazarene Cover. They followed it up with another EP called Blood Calls Blood, that featured two unreleased songs and the tracks Death from Above and The World is Prey from the Death from Above EP previous. Gore (Real Name: Matteo Fantozzi) and Geny took the bass and guitar slots respectively, joining Bianchi and Potenti for Gruesome Splendour (2006). Bianchi was joined by Andrea Bianchi (drums) and Deimos (Real Name: Francesco Bargagni) on guitars for You Will Bleed (2009). Nicholas (Real Name: Niccolò Stella; bass) took bass while Aeternus (Real Name: Diego Tasciotti; drums) would join for To Perdition (2013). Andrea Toto assumed guitars and bass (tracks 1, 5, 8, 9) on Adversus (2019).
