othenburg thrashers Somber issued the demos Oblivion (2002), God's Design (2003), and the 2004 set Berkley. Founded as a high school covers act in 2001, the original formation comprised frontman Pontus Dahlström, lead guitarist Andreas Henriksson, rhythm guitarist Christoffer Melin, bassist Bjrn Rehnqvist and drummer John Brester. However, Melin would be replaced by Carl Fritzell. Somber cut a new demo entitled Name Your Poison (2004). After their 2006 demo effort, define:rend, a full-length album proper would emerge as The Black Machine (2008) with John Bresäter on drums. The band has not been heard from since.
