Chaos Effect

ocal heavy metal band Chaos Effect from Espanola, New Mexico, USA. that utilized many types of heavy metal as their influence. The band was founded in 2004 by Jeremy Martinez (guitar) and Joey Atencio (vocals/guitar). The band, which initally began as a three piece, soon expanded to include Jeremy Martinez on guitar, Shane "the Duke" Hernandez on bass, Emanuell Escobar on drums and Lea C. on keys. After several shows the band added vocalist John "Tripp" Martinez to the lineup allowing Joey to concentrate on his bass playing. In March 2005 after a show in Grand Junction, Colorado Chaos Effect was no more with the departureof everyone but Lea; Martinez decided to take a break and regroup eventually joining up with bassist Gerald Chacon. After Gerald joined the band in May 2005 Joey decided we wanted to give Chaos Effect another go so he rejoined the band on rhythm guitar. With the string section in tact, and keyboardist Lea in place the search began for a drummer and vocalist. Shiloh Marran joined in July, now there was just the throne to fill in September of 05 Butterfly Garcia, formerly of Ribbed, joined and the band had their first show in November with the new lineup. After several shows and three days before their next performance Shil oh was fired from the band. The next perfomance was done as a five piece with Joey and Butterfly handeling the vocals. At that show Tripp (John) showed up to chack out the band and was asked to come up and sing a couple of songs with Chaos Effect where it was realized he was the best fit for the band and rejoined that night.
