Infernal LegionBIOGRAPHYInfernal Legion (1993-2005): a Black Metal band from Antwerp, Belgium. F orming in Belgium the early 1993, Infernal Legion started under the membership of Peter Noens (vocals/guitar) and Jurgen Sterckx (drums). Several line-up changes followed through the years but they finally found some stability with the coming of a new bass player Tom De Witt. The first demo, My Black Beloved, was recorded with this line-up in 1997, followed up by a second one the year after titled, Hymns To A Blackened Beauty in 1998, with the addition of Karen Hershens on keyboards to give the act a more melodic black metal sound. While completing the line-up with guitarist Stijn De Kock at the end of 1998 the keyboards fell from grace to make room for a more aggressive style resulting in the five-track CD demo, Die And Become... A Forgotten World. Several gigs followed after the release that saw them sharing the stage with bands like Vader, Sodom, Sinister, Morbid Angel and Deicide. Belgian record label 'L.S.P.' offered to record their first full-length album entitled Sculptured Humans (2000). But 'L.S.P.' soon after the release shut down their record production and let all the bands go leaving the band to release their next effort, the EP Annihilate (2004) independently. As it happens this didn't work out and the band reformed under the name The Reckoning the following year.
