KharonBIOGRAPHYKharon (1992-present): a Black Metal band from Sarpsborg, Norway. F ormed in 1989, Kharon was started by Rigor (Real Name: Jørgen "Joppe" Ødmann Andersen; guitar), Kull (Real Name: Frank Henning Lilleborgen; bass) and General Hymer (Real Name: Dag Ronny "Dæskis" Hansen; drums/vocals); Rym Vicious (Real Name: Øyvind Trinborg; guitar/vocals) joined the band in the early 90's. 1989-2002 saw the band perform under the namePadox, then Potency until 1992 when they assumed the current name to play several concerts in Norway and recorded only one song called Coma Of Hallucination, a track that brought good reviews in one of Norway's biggest newspapers. In 1994 the members of Kharon split to join other bands and projects. Rym and G.Hymer (Thyme) took part in the forming of the black metal band Ragnarok. Rigor joined a band called Shades Of God, Kull and Hyme took part in a project called Sunshine's Gone. In 1999, Rigor, Kull and Hyme reunited and when Tamlin (Real Name: Lars Henry Eliassen; bass) joined them the year after they became Kharon as they are known today. With this line-up plus guest singer Rym they recorded the first Kharon demo January 2001 titled The Fullmoon Curse. Raised By Hellish Demons followed in 2003 with help from Jontho Pantera as a session drummer; both discs getting 1,000-unit distribution.
