NileBIOGRAPHYNile (1993-present): a Death Metal band from Greenville, South Carolina, USA. M usical group Nile quickly rose to the top of the class of old-school American death metal. Much has been written about their fascination with Egypt and Mid-East rites, but such writing was simply overstated as the similarities go only lyric deep for the music bared little resemblance. With the membership of Chief Spires (bass/vocals), Pete Hammoura (drums/vocals) and Karl Sanders (guitars/vocals) they would start off with the release of Festivals of Atonement (1995), to follow it with Ramses Bringer of War (1997), Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka (1998) and In the Beginning (2000; actually a re-release the first two albums merged together). In 2000 Black Seeds of Vengeance saw Nile return with a massive membership change of the original three adding Dallas Toler-Wade (guitar/vocals) and Derek Roddy as guest drummer. For Vile Nilotic Rites (2019), Brad Parris (bass/vocals) and Brian Kingsland (guitars/vocals) joined the team; Parris, however, would be gone by 2022. Read Less... ⏫
