TorqueBIOGRAPHYTorque (1994-1997): a Thrash Metal band from Concord, California, USA. F eaturing Deen Dell (bass/backing vocals) and Phil Demmel (vocals/guitars), two ex members of thrash metal band Vio-lence; Torque was formed from the ashes of Vio-lence when Robb Flynn left. The act came across as mixing more traditional early-nineties thrash metal with a more contemporary feel of acts like Pantera. Though not revolutionary, the pair with Ray Vegas (vocals/guitar) and Mark Hernandez (drums/backing vocals) would play with aggression and conviction to release Torque in 1996. Demmel and Hernandez were later seen in Technocracy, and after that Demmel was also seen with his friend Robb Flynn in Machine Head and Kerry King's project. Footnote: The same line-up, with vocalist Sean Killian as well, played on the 1993 Vio-lence demo.
