SkinlabBIOGRAPHYSkinlab (1994-2003, 2007-2011, 2016-present): a Nu-Metal band from San Francisco, California, USA. S teev Esquivel (vocals/bass), Mike Roberts (guitar), Gary Wendt (guitar) and Paul Hopkins (drums) came together in 1995 to form Skinlab, a skater friendly ultra heavy metal act with alternative rock leanings often categorized within the groove metal movement. The album failed to impress the sales figures, and Telford once again left and was replaced by Brian Jackson (ex-Kreep). June 2011 would see ex-Rikets guitarist Provo take up duties opposite Snake. Having failed to produce any new material, Skinlab once again disbanded in 2011. September 2016 would see Steev Esquivel and Paul Hopkins reform Skinlab along with former members Mike Roberts and Gary Wendt to release Venomous (2019) featuring Marcos Medina Rivera replacing Provo, and Fabian Vastod taking up drums.
