LondonBIOGRAPHYLondon (1977-1978): a Punk band from London, UK. T aking their name form their locale in early 1977, London signed right out of the underground to major 'M.C.A.' to make their debut Everyone's A Winner 7" with the membership of Riff Regan (vocals), Dave Wight (guitar), Steve Voice (bass) and John Moss (drums). Despite the platters' hopeful title it failed on the charts and proved to be an ominous foreboding of their career to follow. Indeed, their debut album, Animal Games (1978), featuring a disc full of lost singles and new tracks compiled into one went nowhere again. Only released in England, London split shortly after with their only claim to fame being Moss who went on to play with The Damned, Edge and pop act Culture Club. Footnote: Do not confuse this act with the hard rock act of the same name from the USA.
