BludgeonBIOGRAPHYBludgeon (1992-present): a Thrash Metal band from Chicago, Illinois, USA. A fter the century, Bludgeon, featuring the membership of Mark Duca (vocals/guitar), Carlos Alvarez (guitar), Eric Karol (bass) and Matt Dezynski (drums), got a lot of press mostly due to being discovered by Manowar's Joey DeMaio, who not only got them the first ever deal on his own 'Magic Circle' label, but also produced their sophomore album, Crucify The Beast (2002), their debut would be 1998s Inner Hell. Despite all the connections with Manowar the band's debut had nothing to do with Manowar's style, leaning more into a heavy death metal like thrash metal style featuring little variety. After the release of Crucify the Priest (2002) with Carlos Alvarez added on guitars, and World Controlled (2006), with Chris "CS" Studtmann on bass and Ryan "Blaze" Blazek on drums, the band went silent but there has been no news as to if they split or not. ** This article is also available on our official app.
