Shaun Kopczynsky

orn in Canada's western most province, British Columbia, in 1971, and growing up on Vancouver Island, Shaun had been interested in music since a very early age. By the age of seven he was creating original music. By age 14 his love of the guitar had become a passion, he was known to lock himself away for hours just to practice. He developed an enjoyment of Baroque and Classical Music. He soon after enrolled in the Royal Conservatory of Music (and afterward continued with tutoring by private instructors) where he studied composition, theory, history and performance techniques. By 18 he gained extensive live performance experience by playing with several rock bands such as: Millenium, Death Incision, Panzerfaust and Dark Ages. During this period, he recorded 14 original recordings and 5 rock videos.

By the time of this writing, Kopczynsky held title to 650 original compositions to his name and eight books, the latest featuring 180 musical pieces in both "contemporary rock" and "neo-classical" forms such as: guitar concertos for classical guitar and chamber ensemble, symphonies for orchestra, sonatas for solo classical guitar, orchestral overtures, suites, string quartets, and chamber music. His influences were a wide range from: J.S. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Handel, Vivaldi, Guiliana, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Blackmore, Rhodes and Yngwie J. Malmsteen. He continues to struggle to advance his career. He launched his solo self-titled demo recording in 1996 featuring contemporary guitar based heavy metal.
